Terms & Conditions
Yourbro · yourbro.app · Last updated: September 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These Terms & Conditions form a contract between you and Yourbro ("Yourbro", "we", "us"), the seller and operator of the Yourbro website and app at yourbro.app. You can reach us at support@yourbro.app. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. You confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this contract; if you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. What Yourbro is
Yourbro is a legal-information and peer-support platform for men in India facing Section 498A and related matrimonial proceedings. It includes:
- A searchable library of Indian court judgments relevant to 498A defence.
- A directory of criminal and matrimonial lawyers across Indian cities.
- An AI-assisted case-strategy chat that helps you organise facts, timelines, and questions for your advocate.
- A members-only Messenger community for peer support (paid plans).
- Case tracking details you enter yourself: FIR date, next hearing, and case stage.
Yourbro is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. All content — including AI chat output and community messages — is general information and peer support only. Decisions about your case are yours alone; always consult a qualified advocate enrolled with a State Bar Council.
3. Accounts and plans
You must provide accurate information when registering (name, email) and keep it updated. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
We offer a Free plan and paid memberships — Pro (₹499/month or ₹2,499/year) and Premium (₹999/month) — with the features and limits shown on the Plans page. Free-plan accounts are limited to 1 AI strategy chat per day; paid plans include unlimited chats and Messenger access. We may change plan features or prices with reasonable advance notice; price changes apply from your next renewal.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam.
- Post defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, or otherwise illegal content, or content that identifies or targets any person in a pending case.
- Attempt to influence witnesses, fabricate evidence, or obstruct justice — Yourbro exists to support lawful defence only.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Upload malware, probe or scan our systems, scrape the judgment library or directory, or interfere with the service's security.
- Reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits of the service.
- Share your account or paid access with others.
- Present AI-generated outputs as professional legal advice or court-ready documents.
You are responsible for the content you submit (including AI chat prompts, case details, and Messenger posts), for having the rights to that content, and for how you use any outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date — verify them with your advocate before relying on them. We may moderate, remove, or restrict content and outputs that violate these terms, and suspend accounts for repeated violations.
5. Intellectual property
We retain all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including software, design, documentation, branding, and the compiled judgment library. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service within your selected plan. You retain ownership of content you submit; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide and improve the service. If you believe content on the service infringes your rights, email support@yourbro.app and we will review and remove it where appropriate; repeat infringers may lose access.
6. Payments, billing, and subscriptions
Paid memberships are sold through our reseller Paddle. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax (including GST), cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly, as selected) until cancelled. Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately with pro-rated billing handled by Paddle; cancellation stops future billing and returns you to the Free plan immediately. See our Refund Policy for refund terms.
7. Service level
We work hard to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance, and features may change over time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or outcomes in your legal proceedings), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When your access ends, your right to use the service stops immediately. You may request an export of your data for 30 days after termination by emailing support@yourbro.app; after that we may delete your account data unless the law requires us to keep it.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. You may not assign this contract without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including network outages, natural disasters, or government action). If any clause is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
